Easy A
Storyline:
Easy A was made in 2010 and is the main character telling her story on the internet of high school student Olive Penderghast (played by Emma Stone) as a lie starts to spread that she slept with a college student, and begins allowing other boys to tell people that they've slept with her for a price, after doing this for a homosexual student so people will stop calling him gay. This lead to Olive getting a reputation as the school slut which she embraces and jokes around with wearing slutty clothes and an A to distinguish herself as the school slut. 
Conventions: the films themes which follow the conventions of teen movie are sex, sexuality, coming of age, friendships, family & school this is seen in most teen films as this is the time when people go through and feel most effected by these topics, trying to do everything. 
The films main characters also follow the conventions of teen films characters like jocks, losers, parents and teachers. these are most focused on as they are most important in a teens life. Representation of these characters are quite different in other teen films, as in other teen films teachers are trustworthy, parents put teens down and hold them back, the slut is unpopular, there's a strong religious group and jocks and losers arent as focused on as much.
